Carmen (She/They) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who firmly believes that everyone deserves a space that is free of judgement and promotes self-exploration in a safe manor. Whether you are struggling to cope with the difficulties that life has to offer or want to shift or assess relationships with people or things in your life, Carmen’s compassionate and sensitive approach holds the space for you to walk through your unique journey of growth and healing.
Carmen approaches therapy with a unique lens that encompasses trauma-informed care and harm reduction strategies. She has provided extensive treatment for individuals struggling with complex mental health concerns, substance use, and trauma backgrounds. She also has lived experience with frontline worker concerns such as compassion fatigue and burnout.
Carmen’s areas of focus include supporting individuals who are struggling with substance use or have loved ones who are facing similar challenges, exploration in sober curiosity, trauma, anxiety, burnout, depression, compassion fatigue, and more. She utilizes current evidence based interventions and tools to help meet her clients needs and support them in building upon successes.
