With over 25 years of experience in the field of mental health, Anita has spent the last decade as a counsellor, building on her earlier work as a support worker in non-profits. Her extensive experience equips her to provide compassionate and trauma-informed care to her clients. Anita recognizes the privilege she has in this work and is committed to using it to empower those she supports.
Anita’s clinical framework is rooted in attachment theory, neuroscience, and an integrative mind-body practice (Focusing). She also incorporates mindfulness, CBT, Motivational Interviewing and extensive training in sex and sexuality to promote holistic healing. Her approach is characterized by compassion and non-judgement, fostering a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, build self-compassion, and experience personal growth. Anita utilizes Feedback Informed Treatment to adjust sessions based on client feedback, ensuring therapy aligns with your goals for effective, meaningful progress.
